I wanted to design a great contemporary mansion with a style that has its roots in the Baroque era, but maintaining the functionality of a building born to be lived daily.

I wanted to design a contemporary home by combining the Baroque design styles with the apparent naturalness of the English park, maintaining a contemporary functionality.

Facade

The large home has the imposing appearance and simmetry of the Baroque style, with a projecting central element and vertical lateral openings that recall the classical froman flat columns.

The entrance is preceded by a double curved and inclined ramp, typically Baroque, and surrounded by flowers. Decorative flowers and plants were freely chosen, in fact, for example, bougainvillea was absolutely not known in the Baroque era.

Il parterre fiorito con fontana è circondato non dai classici cocci barocchi ma da una pavimentazione in mattoni di terracotta. Il materiale è uguale, ma la funzionalità è adatta all’utilizzo moderno con automobili. — The flowery parterre with fountain is surrounded not by the classic baroque cocci but by a terracotta brick flooring. The material is the same, but the functionality is suitable for modern use with cars.

Su entrambi i lati dell'edificio vi sono due parterre con una lunga fontana e fiori laterali. Gli alberi laterali hanno forma naturale come da regole del parco all’inglese e servono a creare zona d'ombra — On both sides of the building there are two parterre with a long fountain and side flowers. Lateral trees have a natural shape as per the rules of the English park and serve to create a shadow area

Dalle rampe laterali inclinate si accede al portone d'ingresso. Notare sulla destra le vetrate scanalate che richiamano le antiche colonne piatte romane. — From the inclined side ramps you access the entrance door. Note the grooved windows on the right that recall the ancient Roman flat columns.

Notare gli angoli stondati in basso e squadrati con vetrati in alto. Sulla destra vi è la discesa che conduce al garage sotterraneo. — Note the rounded corners at the bottom and square with windows at the top. On the right there is the downhill leading to the underground garage.

Back and park

The park wants to be a compromise that has functionality as the first goal. The system is baroque with geometric and flowery flower beds, geometric trees etc, however more acceptable than those of large real parks. Just to remain functional, a tennis cmapo has been integrated and a landing track to elevenpieces, children’s games, a gazebo, etc.
